About Us
The department was established in the year 1974. The department celebrated its Ruby year (40 years) during the academic year 2014 – 2015. An international seminar was conducted on 3rd & 4th March 2015 in collaboration with University of Cambridge, UK as knowledge partner. It is one of the departments that have produced 100% results consecutively for several years. It offers compulsory internship programme to students in various public and private companies for period of one month during fourth semester summer vacation. Shift II was started in the year 2006 – 07. At present there are 3 permanent staff members and 5 guest lecturers in the department. Our alumni include chartered accountants, entrepreneurs in India and abroad and the present District Collector of Cuddalore Thiru. V. Anubuselvan I.A.S. Our students are placed in various prominent companies like TCS, Cognizant, ICICI, HDFC, Accenture, etc.
